Description
This dataset is derived from a research to determine the effect of anesthesia and tranquilization on the stress response of tilapia (Oreochromis nilotica) during a handling procedure. The research was approved by the by The Veterinary School from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, Animal Ethics Committee (CBBA_15_2021).This data set also allows researchers to make other and further statistical analysis. Once loss of nociception and voluntary swimming movements were verified, a second sampling of 200 µL of blood was drawn sublingually. Description of data process To meet the assumption of normality, a logarithmic transformation of the induction and recovery times was suggested by the Box-Cox statistical program . The Box-Cox equation is as follow (y_ij^(?-1))/?=?+?i+?ij.; where yij is the variable response; ?? is the statistical general mean; ???? is the effect of the treatment and ?ij is the random effect of the mean. For descriptive statistics the means and standard deviations of the original data were used.
